Sinn 103 St Sa Lufthansa Watch

The most striking feature of the Sinn 103 St Sa Lufthansa Centenary Limited Edition chronograph is the use of Lufthansa’s signature, highly recognizable yellow—applied to the hands and the markings on the chronograph sub-dials. Beyond this vibrant yellow, the watch’s color palette consists of various shades of gray, all strictly derived from Lufthansa’s official visual identity guidelines. Notably, the airline’s classic deep blue is absent from this design. Through the transparent sapphire case back, one can clearly see a special commemorative motif engraved on the rotor. Furthermore, the tip of the chronograph seconds hand features a small cutout that cleverly mimics the silhouette of an aircraft cabin window—a detail that truly showcases the watch's meticulous design.

While this is not the first collaboration between Sinn and Lufthansa, it is, by far, the most significant limited edition to date. Twenty-five years ago, the two brands launched the Sinn 144-747.CARGO—a limited run of 747 pieces—which featured a scale on the outer dial representing the target flight altitudes for a Boeing 747. This was followed in 2013 by the Sinn 857 UTS TESTAF LH Cargo, limited to 777 pieces, which embraced a more rugged, utilitarian aesthetic.

The watch has a diameter of 41mm and a thickness of 17mm, maintaining Sinn’s signature bold, substantial proportions. It features a 20mm lug width and comes with both an olive-gray fabric strap and a black cowhide leather strap. The bi-directional rotating bezel, finished in a vintage-inspired gray, is remarkably minimalist, displaying only 12-hour markings and eschewing any unnecessary ornamentation. Powering the watch is the reliable Sellita SW500 automatic movement. It is currently priced at €2,890 (approximately $3,250); alternatively, members of the Lufthansa frequent flyer program can redeem the watch in full through the official website for 781,000 miles https://www.watchesnearme.co/.
