Two Speedmaster "Apollo 11" 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Watch

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first human landing on the moon, Omega launched two speedmaster series "Apollo 11" 50th Anniversary limited edition watch. The series "Apollo 11" 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Moonshine 18K gold model, based on the classic design of the replica Omega Speedmaster watch BA145.022, limited edition 1,014 pieces.

In 1969, to celebrate the first successful human landing on the moon, Omega released a specially designed Supermaster watch BA145.022 with a yellow 18K gold case and a rare Burgundy red bezel. In November of the same year, at a celebration dinner in Houston, Texas, Omega presented the commemorative watch numbered 3 to 28 to NASA astronauts.

In order to pay tribute to the Superbie watch BA145.022, the case, bracelet and dial of the watch are made of Moonshine 18K gold. Moonshine 18K gold is a new alloy material, its unique color is inspired by the moonlight in the night sky. Compared to the traditional yellow 18K gold, Moonshine 18K gold has a longer lasting color and luster.

The bezel retains the burgundy red of the 1969 commemorative watch and is made of zirconia ceramic, an innovative process of Omega. The speed scale on the bezel is made by OMEGA Ceragold® technology, which follows the design of the 1960s Omega Speedmaster watch speed bezel. The watch features a full-gold “stepped” dial that is brushed vertically and marked with the “Au750” mark on the dial. The hour markers are made of delicately cut black onyx, and the hour and minute hands, the central chronograph seconds hand and the small dial hands are covered with black lacquer to make the watch even more eye-catching http://2017watches.hatenablog.com/.

The watch features a unique case back design with a decorative inner ring made of Moonshine 18K gold. After two laser ablation and two PVD color treatments, the watch has a refined earth and moon pattern. The map of the world that symbolizes the Earth consists of blue ocean and golden continents. The American continent also includes the Cape Canaveral of the NASA manned space mission (known as Kennedy from 1963 to 1973). . The pattern that symbolizes the moon is made of ochre inlays. More subtly, the ratio of the size of the Earth and the Moon pattern on the back of the watch is the same as its true ratio (the diameter ratio is 3.67:1). This ingenious design complements the craftsmanship to make the watch even more unique.

The Moonshine 18K Gold Limited Edition watch case is inspired by the 1969 Supermaster watch BA145.022 watch case, again using the moon pit shape. The box is made of gray ceramic and uses 3D printing technology to present the shape of the moon's surface. The shape of the box is not the same, and the pattern of the Apollo 11 landing point is printed on the top of each box.
